Our Coaches
  Jamie Munger - head coach

This is Coach Jamie's sixth season coaching the CCV Vikings and she is looking forward to a fun and successful summer! Jamie is a Colorado native and grew up swimming on the CCV swim team since the age of four. She graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 2005, and is currently attending Metropolitan State College of Denver where she is working towards a becoming a Registered Dietitian. Jamie swam her freshman and sophomore years in high school, but had to stop because of a shoulder injury. Two shoulder surgeries later, Jamie is still trying to get back in the pool to make up for the time she lost! Jamie's coaching philosophy is to make sure each swimmer is getting the feedback they need to help them reach their fullest potential. She also believes that having fun is important while learning new things because it creates the motivation the swimmers need to succeed.

  Jessica Shaddock - head coach

Hey CCV! My name is Jessica and I'm one of the head coaches. I'm very excited to be a part of the coaching staff again this year for CCV. This is my seventh year coaching for CCV. I started swimming when I was 10 years old for the team Canyon Crest in California. From there, I moved teams to the Mission Viejo Nadators. Once I come back to Colorado, I started with Greenwood Athletic club and in the summer I swam for Willow Creek 1. I was on the Varsity swim team at Cherry Creek High School all four years and went to state for three years. I was also the varsity captain my senior year. During Creeks off-season, I swam for Colorado Athletic club and CCV. I swam for Metro State College of Denver for four years. I just graduated from Metro State College with a degree in social work. I'm very excited for another fun season with CCV!

  Jill Talley - assistant coach

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be a CCV swim coach again this year!!! I have been on the team for over 13 years, and I love swimming. I swam on the USS swim team, Stars, for 9 years. I was nominated to swim at the Friendship Games in Holland. I was a varsity swimmer at Regis Jesuit High School for all 4 years. I am a distance swimmer. My senior year I made finals at the Continental A- league championship in both the 500 Free and the 200 Free. In addition, I made Coaches Invite in both those events. I also participated in Tri for the Cure and encourage everyone to try it out! I believe that it's the coaches' job to make swimming fun. Swimming is definitely a sport where having fun is important, and that what summer swimming is all about. I am currently attending Boston College and I look forward to seeing everyone's smiling faces on the pool deck! Let's have another phenomenal season!! Gooo VIKINGS!!!

  John Schultz - assistant coach

Hey Cherry Creek Vista! I am John Schultz and this is my second year as the assistant coach for CCV. I can not wait for the 2010 swim season to start. I have been swimming since I was 5 and have been on the swim team since I was five as well. I go to school at Cherry Creek High School and will be a senior next year. In addition to swimming at CCV I also swim at Cherry Creek on Varsity. During the winter I have been teaching swim lessons for Aqua Kickz and love being able to help kids improve their swimming. I have many good expectations for this year and can not wait to see what we have to offer. One major part of swimming that I am looking forward to is to seeing all the kids that I have missed. I can not wait to start the new season because I know that we will have a very amazing year full of success and great achievements. Can't wait to see every one at practice!

  Daniel Reiff - assistant coach

Hey CCV Vikings! I am Daniel Reiff and I'm very excited to be a coach for the 2010 summer season. I have been swimming with CCV since I was six years old and I love it! I have been swimming with Colorado Athletic Club Stingrays since I was nine. I will be a senior next year at Cherry Creek High School and I have been on varsity every year and the state team twice. I have also competed at Sectionals, Zones, and Grand Prix in USA Swimming. In addition to coaching this year, I will also be a returning swimmer for the 15-18 boys age group. I have helped coach splashers and teach lessons in the past, and this will be my first year as a coach. I believe that swimming should be fun for everyone, and I can't wait to be a part of another fun and successful season! Go CCV!
